The Eye Boutique is equipped with an in-house operating room that allows for major or minor procedures of the eye to be conveniently performed. Major procedures like cataract and glaucoma surgery can be performed from our site as well as minor procedures like pterygium or eyelid procedures.

Surgeries are performed by an experienced, ‘Board Certified’ ophthalmologist with

many years experience practicing in Jamaica and The United States, using state of the art equipment.

The ophthalmological services being offered at The Eye Boutique is being provided by Dr Garfield Munre, MD, who is an American Board certified ophthalmologist and a ‘Fellow of The American College of Surgeons’.

Dr Munroe is a comprehensive ophthalmologist with over 20 years experience in the treatment of glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy and other eye conditions.
He now offers cutting edge treatment of cataracts, featuring phacoemulsification and the implantation of premium intraocular lenses.

Dr Munroe has acquired state of the art, computerized equipment, like The DRS fundus camera, The IOL Master Biometer, HRT Heidelburg Retinal Tomogram. Humphrey Visual Field Analyser, and Zeis OCT Tomographer.

He also has available the Zeis Yag laser for treating cataract membranes, an SLT laser for treating open angle glaucoma, and the Lightmed Green laser for the treatment of diabetic retinopathy and other disorders.

Dr Munroe recognizes that apart from having great equipment, one needs to possess the knowledge and experience in order to deliver the best quality of service to patients and he has brought his many years of experience in working in Jamaica and in The United States to the Eye Boutique to offer top of the line service to his patients.
