Diabetic Laser Treatment

People who have diabetes mellitus, are prone to developing changes inside the eye which could result in bleeding inside the eye and subsequent loss of sight.The condition is called diabetic retinopathy and, in most cases, this sight threatening complication can be prevented with early treatment with a special laser in the office.

The treatment is usually painless and may require more than one session.

All patients with diabetes should have frequent eye examinations to detect and treat this condition.
